Here you have it, Sai Mecha fans! The Exhibition Phase is now over and the VF-25 Messiah is the winner! Thank you all for voting and for participating in this phase. It’s given me some insight and experience that can be taken into the full tournament later this week. This match was a close one, and the details are below the cut. Also, in this post I am now announcing the bracket for the full Sai Mecha Tournament! Your nominations have been counted and tallied and their results are displayed below.

With the votes tallied from the last Exhibition Round match, Ghostlighting‘s wet fanboy dream has come true with a Valkyrie final round. This also means that before too long the first Sai Mecha Tournament will begin in earnest. Nominations continue to come in and be counted and after the polls close for this final exhibition round match the tallying will begin and the bracket be filled. Exciting times! Also, as a word of fair warning to all you Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny fans out there, your dear Strike Freedom is going to need many more nominations if you want it to make it into the bracket. Come on, are you going to let all these oldfags outcompete you? Where’s your Jesus Yamato now!? So if you want to represent your beamspam favorite mecha and haven’t yet done so, nominations continue to be open and accepted via email to executiveotaku AT gmail DOT COM until 12am EST (GMT -5) on Sunday, April 9.

Round 2 of the exhibition matches is now open! The two Valkyries may face stiffer competition as the sleek new Lancelot and the classic Ingram AV-98 face off against their variable fighter rivals. The polls have closed on the first exhibition round of Sai Mecha (though not according to keikaku, for some reason they didn’t automatically close when they were set to!) The winners are in and those four mecha move on to the next exhibition round to compete for the final prize, the right to have their mecha replace the Sai Mecha site banner during the full tournament. Results below the cut.
